reassurance

so i was told specifically by God not to be anxious... with the verse from philippians 4:6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. - Philippians 4:6

this morning as i think of the challenging task of updating my blog of the week with my mum that just passed.. i shuddered. too much details. too many pictures. coupled with some concern as to when the HR pple will get back to me, i decided... i need to do my QT...

and how reassuring God is again! Today's verse is

I will never leave you nor forsake you - Hebrews 13:5

so sweet right? it talks about the future being a scary place and that the unknown can be overwhelming especially when the known has already so many struggles. then it went on to say that regardless of what trouble the world will be in. God said, " i will never leave you nor forsake you" and Jesus also said " i am with you always, even to the end of the age" - Matt 28:20

the page ended off with

" we may not know what the future holds, but we can trust the One who holds the future"

but seriously, i am not as anxious as i would have been with other interviews i went for. not sure why. maybe cuz i know whatever that comes my way. God has it all planned out. i just have to hold on tight to his hands. or rather, know that He is holding tight to my hand as i walk through life...
