Arnd visits

Arnd came bearing gifts =) He bought me 2 Swaroski doggy crystals! Very thoughtful gifts. never a HUGE fan of crystal ornaments, unlike alex, but both of the dogs were quite cute together. of coz 1 of the dogs is a pink poodle! awww... let's just let my crystal collection end here! 2 is enuff, me no alex chou!

Unlike the boys who will never travel to east ham for indian, arnd requested for Indian, to my delight! i love indian! so we had indian vegetarian for dinner on Friday. we had the works, masala dossa, poori, nann, with 2 different curries. yum.



We started the saturday with lunch at Fifteen, Jamie Oliver's restaurant! =) Quite glad to be able to get a reservation 1 wk before. dinner reservation was all booked until june! crazy! Its quite nice as the menu changes daily as they believe in only using the freshest and seasonal ingredients. =)

I had a Devonshire crab with veg and Arnd had a prosciutto with melon for our antipasti.

Arnd had a special of the day which is lobster with fettucini. the lobster was massive! and only for 21 pounds. i mean, this is london and its jamie oliver's restuarant! I tried some lobster, it was really fresh!





I had a Ravioli of Cumbrian pork cooked with balsamic and chicory, in a Vin Santo butter sauce. thankfully, i went for the primi instead of the secondi. with all ravioli, too much is a bad thing. we then finished off with a tiramisu cake. have to admit i still think the tiramisu i had in florence was better!

After lunch we trooped to Burberry warehouse in Hackey (a not too safe place), the stuff there is still pretty cheap despite it being a warehouse. if you are expecting the kind of factory outlet sale you get in America.... you will be sorely disappointed. I was really gutted, when i saw this coat! it fitted so nicely! and i only put it on because i saw a price tag for 49 pounds. i was seriously delirious! until arnd had another look at the price tag. it was 249 pounds! argh, it was the silly scarf that was hanging before the coat which was 49 pounds. hiaks. of coz i did not blow that kind of money! but i really look quite smart in it! hiaks.

Next we rushed to Timothy Everest, for Arnd to get himself measured up for his suit to be made. what can i say, there is only so many shades of grey and black you can choose from. i am so glad i am a girl. with so many more colour options! hiaks. though arnd did say that he has not 1 but 2 difference shades of pink pull over! yucks! hahah.

Dinner was at our usual taiwanese restaurant in fulham broadway with the boys minus alex who had to work late. so cham. work from 2am to 7pm! like coolie! worse than coolie!

after annoying each other with our garlicky breath from the taiwanese pork dish, Arnd and I had a drink before calling it a night.

Before we knew it, sunday was upon us! there was church, lunch at wagamama (my 1st time - all msg laden!) before i sent Arnd off at the airport. i am so thankful i am staying on the picadilly line. seriously grateful! especially with so many family and friends visiting all the time.

til then, i am going to my dream-land... *yawn*
