Foggy Monday morning greeted me as i stepped out of my home to go to work. visibility was no more than 50 metres. just had to take a picture of this. anyway, this is the first time i have seen such bad fog in london. oh well, there is a 1st time for everything anyway. =) at office i was unable to see the Tower Bridge, but it cleared up by mid day. =)
welcome back to london yileen!
oh my theory about latent heat? its true... its been tried and tested.
when i travelled to colder countries previously, i always wondered how the people could stand being huddled up in their coats when entering a warm shopping mall or in a squeezy tube. On holiday to colder countries, i would be shedding coats like crazy and finding it such a chore not being able to shop without coats hanging over my arms! How to shop like that??!?
after spending winter in london, i realised i was able to do so like the rest of the londoners. i did not break a sweat when squashed like sardine in a packed tube in the mornings. or walking around like a cloth hanger in shopping places. my body have conformed.. inevitably, i have lost all my latent heat. =(
recent trip back to singapore and back confirms this.
the first few days upon coming back to london, i was sweating a little in tubes and crowded places. its been about a week and i have kinda lost all my latent heat which i have accumulated in my whirlwind 1 wk in singapore.
I lost my singapore heat! boooo
