Pisa, tilt your head.

That's us with dinner in Pisa. we arrived after a flight which i rate the worst in my life (the sort you wanna take out paper & pen to write your will). arrived to a rainy and cold Pisa. walked through a pretty scary tunnel to get to our cabin hostel. (we had to look back every few minutes to check if there were strangers behind us). But arrived a little too late for dinner at the hostel. hence we ended cooking pasta with pesto with the stove outside our cabin... Welcome to Italy. =) Feels like home already. It was good fun though. but the howling wind and the branches hitting against our cabin kept jezz awake all night. i just slept like a pig, without a care in the world. at least i am on solid ground...

Started the day with a rip off breakfast. a salami panini, a cream crossiant and 2 cups of coffee for 19.50 euro. Jezz and I cannot believe our eyes and til this moment. i still cannot believe those idiots. i dun even pay so much in London! anyway, That's me doing the typical tourist pose. You cannot NOT do the pose. haha. and i take this chance to introduce to you my new travelling buddy, Bananas! yes, he is called Bananas! with a '!' let's see how well travelled Bananas! will be!

this is me in the Baptistry in the compound of Pisa, Campo dei Miracoli. its pretty, but after Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, no church ever matched up. The pic of me on the right is me on top of the tower of Pisa.

I have to say i am well impressed by the tilt of the tower. i stand amazed that the tower is still standing tall. albeit after some years of closure. i am glad i was able to make it up there to enjoy the view. btw, the wind that day was horrendous. haha. after the ascend, jezz and i left for florence by train. a comfortable 1 hour ride... and then we realised something ...
